Janice M. (Loving) MacArthur - Of Hingham, formerly of Scituate passed away peacefully on October 13, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late G. Ronald MacArthur, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage.

Jan spent a great deal of time travelling, whether it be relocating due to her husband's job or travelling for pleasure. Wherever they lived, she was always very involved in her local churches and held the position of Head of the Altar Guild in several parishes. Janice M. (Loving) MacArthur - Of Hingham, formerly of Scituate passed away peacefully on October 13, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late G. Ronald MacArthur, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage.

Jan spent a great deal of time travelling, whether it be relocating due to her husband's job or travelling for pleasure. Wherever they lived, she was always very involved in her local churches and held the position of Head of the Altar Guild in several parishes. She loved sports, particularly bowling and golf and was famous for her exceptional cooking and baking skills. With all of her passions and hobbies, she was happiest when she was spending time with her family. Her most treasured moments were times spent with her family at their home on 3rd Cliff in Scituate.

She was the devoted mother of Scott MacArthur and his wife Debbie of North Andover and Sue Curran of Boston and her late husband John.

Cherished grandmother of Allison Best and her husband Phil, Gregory MacArthur and Shanti Curran and his wife Olivia. Proud great grandmother of Chloe and Harper.

She was the sister of the late Barbara Loving of Waltham, and sister in law of Barbara MacArthur of Orleans and her late husband Douglas and Phyllis Patriquin of Wakefield, NH and her late husband Charlie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 465 First Parish Road, Scituate, MA 02066 with a committal ceremony immediately following in St. Luke's Memorial Garden. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
