Jean (Davies) Stanley - 87, of Marshfield, formerly of Scituate passed away peacefully on May 10, 2017 at the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham. She was the beloved wife of Peter W. Stanley with whom she shared 65 years of marriage.

Daughter to William and Dorothy Davies. Devoted mother of David Stanley of St. Paul, MN, Mark and Dianne Stanley of Scituate, MA and Jon Stanley of Tewksbury MA . Cherished grandmother of Kate, Rachel, Sara, Samuel, Jenna, Grace, and Madison. Great granddaughter Elyse. Loving sister & identical twin of the late Joyce...

Jean (Davies) Stanley - 87, of Marshfield, formerly of Scituate passed away peacefully on May 10, 2017 at the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham. She was the beloved wife of Peter W. Stanley with whom she shared 65 years of marriage.

Daughter to William and Dorothy Davies. Devoted mother of David Stanley of St. Paul, MN, Mark and Dianne Stanley of Scituate, MA and Jon Stanley of Tewksbury MA . Cherished grandmother of Kate, Rachel, Sara, Samuel, Jenna, Grace, and Madison. Great granddaughter Elyse. Loving sister & identical twin of the late Joyce Davies Harrison. Also survived by her beloved nephews Brad, Andy, Matt, Chris, and Craig and her beloved Niece Gywn.
Jean was born in London, England and moved to America as a child. She lived in Westbury and Cooperstown, NY growing up. She was a graduate of Lasell College in Newton, Class of 1950. She met Peter while both were working at NH summer camps. Jean was a long time member of First Trinitarian Congregational Church of Scituate, Hatherly Country Club, and the Scituate Garden Club. Her great love of travel brought her to many parts of the world. She also enjoyed knitting, tennis, basket weaving, golf, and bridge.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, June 2nd at 11AM at the First Trinitarian Congregational Church, 381 Country Way, Scituate. Visiting hours Thursday, June 1st from 5-7 PM at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate.
